Mayes Student Life Center
The Dianne Mayes Student Life Center is located in the heart of the residence hall complex and houses the dining hall on the top floor and a multipurpose space on the bottom floor.
The facility is open to on and off campus students and offers several academic and social amenities.

Amenities
Movie Lounge
The movie lounge is a large enclosed space available for individuals or groups/clubs to meet or watch movies/television. A Blu-ray/DVD player is connected to a large screen television. Groups/clubs interested in reserving space during operation hours can contact 417-659-4461. The facility is free of charge for University affiliated groups.
Computer Lab & Student Spaces
There are two enclosed study/meeting rooms, a computer lab and additional study tables and spaces for students to utilize. The computer lab is connected to a network printer for students to print papers. Lion Bucks are required to print papers.
Free Overnight Movie Rentals
Free overnight movie rentals are available to residence hall students in the bottom floor office. You must have University ID to check out movies. Visit the desk attendant to view available movies.
Recreational Gaming
Take a study break by playing pool, ping pong or Xbox One/Playstation 4/Nintendo Wii gaming systems. Use of gaming equipment is free with a University ID. Equipment checkout is available from bottom floor office.
Laundry Facility
Laundry facility has 10 washers and 10 dryers available for residence hall students during operation hours. You must carry University ID to gain access into the laundry room. No coins or dollar bills needed to use machines.
Dance Studio
Looking for a place to practice music, dance, or a workout video? Our 38’x19’ enclosed studio has a large screen TV with DVD player and two walls of mirrors.
